Overview

A midwife is a primary health care provider and a regulated health professional. Membership with the Midwifery Regulatory Council of Nova Scotia College comes with professional responsibilities, which are set out in the Midwifery Act, and in other provincial legislation and regulations. We also create  policies and standards of practice that govern midwifery.
